The concert itself was great! But the Venue.....
I was very satisfied with the state of the amphitheater, parking, and bathrooms at Darien Lake. Yes, we were in the rain the entire show but that didn't change the venue conditions. It is in great need of updating - from the covered seating area to the lawn. Everything was pretty rundown, not nearly enough women's bathrooms as some women were in the mens room urinating into the urinals. Later in the mens room a woman was throwing up all over. This was quite unacceptable to both my son and husband. Security could be used at the bathrooms easily. Exiting the venue was a nightmare - took an hour to get moving, then another 20 minutes to exit. Bathrooms and parking are logistical issues that could be improved upon. The rules for the concert were different online on two different webpages. For example, one page said chairs 9" tall and blankets were ok. The other one said no! ????? So, at our entrance we were not allowed to bring chairs in - even a roll up stadium seat I brought to support my back. Very confusing to me to know what was correct. It was no larger - wide - than my body. These things made the concert experience confusing and not a great experience. ONLY TO SEE that the other entrance was letting chairs in - tall ones!! We laughed off the rain - that was not the issue with my complaints at all. Thanks for listening.
